Mohair
Mohair doesn't need frequent washing. Its natural breathability and moisture-managing properties help it stay fresh between wears, so most of the time, simply airing your knit is enough.
When it does need a wash, hand wash gently in lukewarm water using a small amount of mild detergent suitable for wool.
Let it soak for a few minutes without rubbing or scrubbing, then rinse gently in clean water.
Once wet, your knit will be considerably heavier, so always support its full weight when lifting it from the water. Never pick it up by the shoulders, sleeves or one section of the garment, as this can stretch the knit out of shape.
Don't wring or twist it. Gently press out as much water as you can, then lay it flat on a clean towel. Roll the towel with the knit inside and press gently to absorb the excess water.
Unroll, reshape the knit to its original dimensions and lay it flat to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight. Never hang a wet knit to dry.
Please avoid: washing machines, tumble dryers, wringing, twisting and hanging while wet.
Storage
Store your mohair knit folded rather than on a hanger, as hanging it for long periods can stretch the garment and change its shape.
Make sure it is completely clean and dry before storing it away for a longer period. You can keep it in the cotton pouch that comes with your Plexida piece to protect it while it isn't being worn.
Shedding & fluffiness
Mohair has a naturally fluffy surface, so some shedding is completely normal, particularly when your knit is new. It tends to settle with wear.
If the mohair looks a little flat after being folded or stored, give the knit a gentle shake and let it air for a while. The fibers will usually fluff back up naturally.
Wool
Wool also benefits from being washed less. Its natural breathability and odor-resistant properties help it stay fresh between wears, so airing your knit may be all it needs.
When it does need washing, hand wash it in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent suitable for wool. Let it soak for a few minutes and rinse gently without rubbing or scrubbing.
Always support the entire garment when lifting it from the water. Wet knitwear is heavy, and lifting it by the shoulders, sleeves or another small area can cause it to stretch.
Don't wring or twist. Gently press out the water, then roll the garment in a clean towel and press to remove as much excess moisture as possible.
Reshape it while damp and lay it flat to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight. Don't hang it while wet.

Cotton
Hand wash your cotton knit in cool or lukewarm water using a small amount of mild detergent.
Wash gently without rubbing or scrubbing, then rinse thoroughly in clean water.
Cotton becomes considerably heavier when wet. Support the whole garment when lifting it from the water rather than picking it up by the straps, shoulders or one section.
Don't wring or twist it. Gently press out the water, then roll it in a clean towel and press to absorb the excess moisture.
Reshape the garment while damp and lay it flat to dry. Keep it out of direct sunlight, especially after its first wash, as strong sunlight while wet can affect the color.
Please avoid: tumble dryers, wringing, twisting, hanging while wet and drying in direct sunlight.
Storage
Store your cotton knit folded when you're not wearing it, especially heavier pieces that may stretch if left on a hanger for long periods.

Raffia
Raffia likes to stay dry. Our raffia bags are strong in everyday use, but the material becomes more delicate when wet.
If your bag needs cleaning, gently spot clean the affected area with a slightly damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally, away from the sun.
Don't soak or wash your raffia bag.
If it gets caught in the rain, don't panic. Empty it, gently reshape it and leave it to dry naturally before using it again.
We don't recommend our raffia bags for the beach or anywhere they're likely to get very wet.
Storage
Store your raffia bag somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight for long periods.
Keep its natural shape while it is stored and avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
If you prefer to keep your bag hanging, make sure it is empty so there is no extra weight pulling on the straps.
